This guidebook functions to aid potential or existing domestic abuse victims during the COVID-19 pandemic. Integrated throughout the book is current research on the issue of domestic violence in North America, specifically in light of recent quarantine situations driving cases to spike in the past year. Each section was researched and written based on the current evidence and specific circumstances of abuse during the pandemic.

While remaining sensitive to the sore subject of Domestic Abuse, the design establishes a firm yet uplifting tone to act as the core of the booklet’s narrative and informative content. The design aims to sympathize with victims of domestic abuse while also raising awareness. It also parallels the branding of the client, Planned Parenthood, aligning with their mission to empower and educate the public.
